Victory Verses

When tempted claim these victory verses, resist the devil and pray,
depending solely on Jesus' power.
Avoid Disqualification
1 Cor 9:24-27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one
gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes
in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not
last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not
run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27
No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others,
I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. NIV
Be Sanctified
1 Thess 4:3-5 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should
avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control his own body
in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the heathen,
who do not know God NIV
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has
gone, the new has come! NIV

11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. NIV
James 1:22-25 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do
what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is
like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself,
goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the man who looks
intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not
forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does.

order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every
way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being
strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have
great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who

increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young
