John Deere

I would like to share with you how God cares even for the littlest details of our lives. Last Tuesday I was supposed to pick up my new van from St.Catharines (about 1/2 hour from where I live) after work. That same day I was supposed to call John Deere to find out at what time they would pick up our mowing tractor. When I called, they told me they would come and pick up the tractor at 4 p.m. There is no way I could be home at 4, as after work I had to pick up my kids, go to St. Catharines to pick up the van and drive back home. The earliest I could be back home would be 4:30 p.m. If John Deere came to my house and no one was there it may take weeks before I see them again!

I used to be a master of worrying, but since Jesus has moved into my heart, I have learned that I do not need to worry any longer. So I handed my problems to Jesus.

After work I picked up my kids at my mother-in-law’s and I shared with her what had transpired during the day. She suggested she could drive over my house and wait for John Deere. What a sweet soul she is! But to my astonishment and to her astonishment I told her: “Don’t worry, God will take care of it.”

I went to pick up my van inSt. Catharines, left that city at 4:05 p.m. and arrived home at 4:32 p.m. I checked my front door for any messages that John Deere might have left, but there were none. 2 minutes later, I heard the door bell. It was the driver from John Deere!

As I started talking to him, he said he had a weird experience coming over to my house. He has been to my house many times, but for some unknown reason the invoice listed our house number as 600 instead of 300. He had driven at 600, but there was no house there. For 1/2 hour he had gone up and down the street, trying to recognize my house, and he finally recognized it, 2 minutes after I had parked my new van in the garage. This is a miracle, as our house is very distinctive — after being there once, nobody misses it!

Praise the Lord! He is so awesome my friend. If He can take care of our little problems, how much more can He take care of our big problems. Trust Him and stand on His Word. He will provide. He always does! Praise be to His name!
