Title: Prayer Warrior
Favorite Bible Verse: I love reading and studying the Scriptures. I have many favorite verses. Lately, the following verse has been speaking to my heart: “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21 NKJV)
Home Base: I live with my wife Debbie near Knoxville, Tennessee. We have been married for 49 years. We moved back here five years ago after I retired to be close to our two sons and their families. Our two sons are in ministry. Our oldest is a pastor and the younger is a worship pastor in another church. My wife and I regularly attend the church that our older son pastors. We visit our other son’s church occasionally. We are blessed to have two sons who walk with the Lord. In addition, we have five beautiful grandchildren. God has blessed us immensely.
Career: I pastored churches in several states from 1980-2007. From 2007 – 2019 I was a regional pastor for our churches in the state of Kansas. Currently, I am working part time as a Hospice chaplain, ministering to patients who are nearing the end of their life.
Hobbies: I continue to enjoy reading and learning more about the goodness of God. Also, I enjoy exercising physically.
Christian Since: I was raised in a Christian home, so I had that the benefit of having parents who believed in Christ and prayed for me. I committed my life to Christ in 1975 and went to seminary in 1977.
